Chinese Horoscopes

Chinese Horoscopes are based on the Chinese Zodiac, whose signs are influenced by Yin and Yang , Natural Elements , and the Four Pillars of Destiny.

Yin and Yang

Chinese tradition states that everything in the universe is either Yin (feminine) or Yang (masculine). Each Chinese Zodiac sign is placed into one or two of these categories. Generally, even numbered years are Yang while odd numbered years are Yin. These two opposites balance one another and bring harmony to the universe.

Natural Elements

Chinese culture believes that there are five elements existing in the world: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. These elements influence each Chinese Zodiac sign and contribute to energies created when signs are paired together. These energies can contribute to a positive relationship or they can tear it apart.

The Four Pillars of Destiny

The Four Pillars of Destiny are four components that create a person's destiny or fate. The four components within the moment of birth are year, month, day, and hour:

  • The year one is born represents that person's childhood, lineage, and how he or she is viewed by society.
  • The month of birth represents a person's parents, peers, and talents. This is considered the most important pillar in determining one's fate.
  • The day represents information the person's inner self and married life.
  • The hour pillar represents children, old age, siblings, and lovers. This is thought to be one's truest representation.

Twelve Signs of the Chinese Zodiac

The twelve Chinese Zodiac signs are determined by the lunar year, so those born in the same lunar year are assigned an animal Zodiac Sign. Each animal influences a person's personality and/or events in their life. Using the Zodiac Signs associated with a person's year, month, day, and hour of birth, a horoscope can then be created. From here, Zodiac Heartology can then match you with other compatible signs of others who fit you best.
